We will be doing our first Build Session for our first Community Project: The "Drawing Machine."
It will be our interactive exhibit at Chester County's Mini-Maker Faire, and World Maker Faire in New York City.
John and Amy created a prototype that you can see here:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oRqhWbFRS7E
After a few minutes of practice, they were able to sign their names with it.
So, here's some things we'll need, if you have them lying around:
wood to use for the legs of an easel,
wood to use for the board itself,
electric drill to create holes,
nuts and bolts and washers to attach legs to easels
possibly hinges for easy fold up
Large spring clamps to hold the paper in place (instead of tape!)
paracord (instead of clothesline).
We also need to rig a way to easily rip off each sheet at the bottom when the participant is finished, and easily roll down a fresh sheet (the roll of paper will be perched on top of the easel...
So many possibilities. This, is gonna be fun.
