First of all, apologies for the silence and lack of BathSPARK activity since The SPARKies. The organisation of those awards took so much time & effort that the team had to redeem themselves and spend time catching up on their day jobs...
We are currently working on a big, exciting summer event, the date & venue will be announced soon. But in the mean time, because it has been 2 months since the last time we all met, we thought it would be a good idea to have a meet up at a local pub in the next 2-3 weeks. We are unlikely to get sponsorship for this event (as we are saving it up for the big summer event), so this one will be a "buy your own" (BYO) event with the main aim being for everyone to catch up.
The date for BathSPARK BYO will be announced on the meetup page in the next few days. If this BYO is a success and people find it useful to meet up more regularly, we can start having more frequent BYOs in between the larger scale sponsored events.
In other news, Startup Weekend is coming to Bath on the 8th-10th of June. Over 450 similar events have happened around the world and Bath is the first place to host a Startup Weekend in the West Country.
