A second meeting place will be at the endpoint of the Media 101 trolley (State and Orange Streets in Media). Meet at the northwest corner of that intersection at 8:15 a.m. (trolley arrives at 7:38, so trolley riders will have a short wait). Hikers wanting to meet at the trailhead, please contact leader no later than 10 p.m. Saturday for time and directions.
15 miles. Once part of King Ranch and now divided into estates, the land of Buck and Doe Valley Farms still retains its undeveloped character, with hills, streams, woods, and high, grassy meadows. The hike follows the same route as the fall King Ranch trek and allows the hiker the opportunity to walk over these lovely green hills of the Brandywine Valley during a different season. This is a STRENUOUS hike with lots of ups and downs.
Bring boots, lunch, and water. If sunny, bring sunscreen. Cost $1.00. Leader: Abbie Wysor,[masked], [masked]. Day of hike:[masked] (cell).
For G & R meeting place, David Stein,[masked], [masked]
