This place is seriously gorgeous and we had a blast there last time.

Alamere Falls is a little known California landmark, and this is an excellent hike along the California Coast Trail starting from the Palomarin trailhead near Bolinas. It is incredibly pretty with amazing ocean views and lush vegetation.

This is an 8-9 mile easy to moderate hike, w/ little elevation gain and  a somewhat challenging scramble down to the beach (Two of us always help everyone get through the scramble).

This is a combined event w/ other Meetup Grps and a good opportunity to make new friends.

What to bring:

Good Hiking Boots/shoes

Layered clothing.

Snacks/vino and cups

Food, food, food to share (wraps, meats/cheeses, crackers, cut up sandwiches, quiche, salads, dried fruit/nuts, chips, dips, use your imaginanation.)

At least 1 liter of water (2 is better)

Anything else you want to drink (tea, juice, beer, etc.)

Sunscreen and a hat.

$5 activity fee

Your sense of humour is an absolute must!

Directions to trailhead:

GPS [masked],[masked]

Take Hwy #101 to San Rafael, and take the Sir Francis Drake Blvd. exit. Drive west 20 miles to Olema, then drive south on Hwy #1 for 9.1 miles to Bolinas Rd. (unsigned). Turn right and drive 1.8 miles to Mesa Rd. Turn right and drive 4.7 miles to parking lot and Palomarin trailhead.

Game Plan:

Beautiful hike w/ vino/snack break at Bass Lake, then continue to the falls for lunch on the beach at the bottom of the falls!

Plan on spending the day.

For those who want we can go grab a beer and some tacos afterwards.

The hike is posted to several Meetup sites so it's a good chance to meet new friends.

Hi guys! I would love to join you but I have difficulties with traveling due to not having a car. Is there anyone who could give me a ride from Berkeley or from one of the BART stations somewhere? It would be greatly appreciated! Feel free to contact me in e-mail: jeschd at gmailcom.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
