Halloween Paddle

The tides are looking good for the Annual Halloween Paddle. What!!! You have Never been?

Come dress yourself and your kayak up and go trick or treating around the Sausalito houseboats. Who can forget the evil she devil or the kayak dragons from last year? How about the giant living mushroom or the army of pirates? The more lights the better. There are always lots of great treats to be had from all sorts of candies to adult beverages. So bring a dry bag and a big cup for your goodies.

Meet at 6:30 at Schoonmaker Beach and be on the water by 7:00 pm.

Does this group overlap with the BASK folks? I will be there with a friend that is a long time BASK person...I'm wondering how you like to manage the group? stick together, head count etc?

Sounds like fun! My mom will be in town that day. Is it alright if she joins us?

Carrie, of course. As long as she has a boat and knows how to paddle it.

No such luck on the extra boat. Hope you all have a great time, sounds like a total blast.

Just a general note. You must have your own kayak gear and know how to use it. Be prepared for immersion so have a wetsuit and paddle jacket. This is not a class nor a trip for beginners. You'll be paddling at night so you need lights. We will cover about 5 miles total. The route goes across large boat channels so you must be familiar with rules of the road. There will be several other groups out along with ours so it should be a great night.

Yes, you do need to have your own boat and gear. Seatrek is usually closed in the evening.
