Beer Not God

February being the short month that it is, the next Beer Not god is sneaking up on us. Join East Bay Atheists on Tuesday, March 5, for another fun evening discussing the current challenges to us non-believers in this society, while enjoying some good beer or other fine beverage. We'll meet again at Era Art Bar and Lounge on Grand Ave. just off of Broadway in uptown Oakland. It's close to BART's 19th St. station, and street parking is free after 6:00. Era is a hip, comfortable bar with happy hour until 7:00 (ask what the specials are at the bar), and we gather in the upstairs lounge. They don't servve food there, but there are plenty of places nearby to get a bite before or after. So grab a drink at the bar and come on up to find us!

Maybe a little less background noise but so far of the three venues it has been average to less than average on the noise level. I have yet to figure out an alternate venue myself so I can't complain - and I do like the setup and cheap beer!

We got a bit of extra sound, but ... it was cool. Nice conversations. Good to see people. Oakland seemed particularly nice. I enjoyed!

It's my first time attending one of these; I'm looking forward to it. "Beer not god" is more or less my personal motto.

Anybody want to talk about the foundations of Quantum Mechanics?

Er, I have a degree in Physics. Okay so that was more than 20 years ago but I'd be fascinated to hear what you want to know.

Sure, if it's not a philosophical discussion about the Kopenhagen Interpretation :)
