An Atheist Church!?

The Sunday Assembly is a godless congregation that meets on the first Sunday of every month (in the UK) to hear great talks, sing songs and generally celebrate the wonder of life. It’s a service for anyone who wants to live better, help often andwonder more.” Does this sound good to you, or too churchy even without god? Many non-believers say that they want many of the things that churches offer-sans God. Sanderson Jones has created such a place in the UK and is finding a positive response among many non-believers.

Over 600 people attended their last service,  5 new permanent Assemblies are launching from June - September and 700 others have asked to start their own. Could the next Great Revival be godless? Whatever you think, it should be a fun night. Sanderson Jones is a stand up comedian by trade - last year he sold out the Sydney Opera House selling every ticket by hand (he also is also in the Guinness Book of Records for the World's Longest Hug).

It's not clear what this event or gathering at the Women's Building actually is... Is it a general discussion? If so, is it being moderated? Will there be videos? If one doesn't closely read the description above, one might get the impression that Sanderson Jones himself is speaking at the Women's Building...

Hi Jon! Sanderson Jones will be speaking tomorrow, on the topic of The Sunday Assembly. He also has an event earlier that day in Palo Alto.
