As I listened to Greta's talk it occurred to me that what we need to grow the movement is a building. If CFI and SF Atheist and Humanists could obtain property from the City government on reasonable terms and obtain a federal grant to provide social services we could have a place for counseling weddings funerals theater meeting rooms and a library. We could have a high school hangout for questioning students and a single point of contact with the media. We can recruit atheist doctors, layers, psychologist, counselors for drug alcohol and domestic abuse. There is federal and state contact money and we ought to be smart enough to compete for it. When I was in state government I awarded millions of dollars every year for family planning, and health services for women and children. Why don,t the local leaders get together and see if we can set up a building fund and a long term planning commitee?
