Beer Not God - 2nd Anniversary

Sorry for the late notice on this y'all. I am out of town tomorrow so will schedule the 2nd Anniversary of BnG for Tuesday, July 15th. Note: the location will be at Pacific Coast Brewing Co. at Washington & 9th downtown. See comments below for more info on the location.

It was nice seeing people and the venue was quiet, but getting around with a walker was not easy. The variety of beer was large and well varied, but the wine wasn't up to snuff and there's no hard liquor. The food, the garlic fries in particular, are excellent!

I am in South Dakota this week, so I won't be able to make it. Have fun though, and best wishes on the second anniversary. I think that one is either paper or papayas... I can't remember which.

A final update, I've just talked to someone at Pacific Coast Brewing Co. and we'll have a space on the patio, which should hopefully work out well. Pacific Coast is one of the oldest brewpubs in the area and has a solid beer selection, and basic pub food. It's located on Washington at 9th in downtown Oakland, close to the 12th St. City Center BART station, and as always street parking is free after 6:00. I hope to see lots of you there!

Hey all - sorry for taking so long on this. I checked out L&F the other night, and I think all the Yelp warnings are probably true and even if it's not packed the noise level will be high. I'm stumped for a new place to try so I'm throwing it out to the group - go back to Era and ask for sound down pretty please? Luka's? Pacific Coast Brewing Co.? I was thinking of Jupiter in Berkeley but we'd have to be upstairs and I know that's a challenge for some (same with Era). Please pitch in with suggestions.

Unless it has changed considerably since I used to visit the bar area isn't that big and it generally has loud music too. Perhaps since it is vacation time for students it would be less busy.

I peeked in, there are couches and chairs, nice patio, but loud music. I don't know why bars/restaurants do that?!

I would need a ride, don't know where this is but I am in No Oakland not far, on Hillegass Ave (Berk border) near Alcatraz. Thanks, K
