Beer Not God

It's August already, so almost time for our next Beer Not God. As last month's meeting seemed to work well, once again we'll be holding it at Pacific Coast Brewing Co. in downtown Oakland. Pacific Coast is one of the oldest brewpubs in the area and has a solid beer selection, and basic pub food. It's located on Washington at 9th in downtown Oakland, close to the 12th St. City Center BART station, and as always street parking is free after 6:00. We'll be out back on the patio. So please join fellow East Bay Atheists for an evening of friendly conversation and, um, beer.

This was just what I needed - a roomful of friendly unbelievers, good food and a pleasant atmosphere. :-)

Great Meetup last night! The quieter environs spawned a surfeit of interesting conversations and it was great to see and meet new faces. I feel lucky to have this Meetup right on my doorstep. Thanks as ever to Corey for keeping us organized.

This was an especially good meetup. Met new people, quite lovely & likable, had conversations where the words could be heard. Talk was lively & interesting. Only prob - could not really talk with everyone. Next time. It was good to see everyone even if I don't click on individual avatars.

I want to join in, but my carpool buddy can't leave until 5:30...hour drive...then another 30 minutes to Oakland. I can be there around 7:15-7:30... will anyone still be around?

We usually run to around 8:00 or so, so if that's long enough for you to make the trip then stop on by.

PCBC is a restaurant, so I believe you could come even if you can't order a beer. We've had at least one other person come who is below legal age.

Like most places if you serve food you are not required to be 21 and over. Come on down.

I had to cancel. My HOA has a meeting w/ a couple of issues I care about on the agenda. :-(

I think this is the last one of these for which I am going to be out of town for a while. Have fun, gang!

Corey, I sent a couple of Beer mugs for your last meet, did you get them? "10 reasons why Beer is Better than Jesus" sent them to Greta Christina last June and it should have gotten there.

Thanks, those sound amazing! Didn't get them but I'll try to get in touch with Greta to make sure they got here. Thanks again.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
