East Bay Atheists Winter Solstice Party

  • Dec 16, 2012 · 3:00 PM
  • David Dresser's House

Again this year Dave is offering his house for our Solstice Party. Last year's party was a great success, with lots of good conversation, both fun and serious. We anticipate this year will be at least as good. Please join us.

Please bring a dish to share, along with a serving utensil. Please also bring drinks to share (wine, beer, soda, etc.). We will provide paper plates, napkins, eating utensils and cups.

When: Sunday, December 16th, 3:00 PM

Location: David Dresser’s House, 826 Neilson Street (between Solano & Washington), Berkeley

Very nice event. Atheists, humanists, freethinkers, etc. are the best!

That was really fun! Thanks Dave, for opening your home to us. I hope we can have more parties like this one. :-)

I had great fun and enjoyed seeing all of you. Next time I am cooking before hand so I can enjoy even more conversation.

Hello - does anyone now if there are any folks with nut-allergies attending? I was thinking of bringing some home made PB cups, but I don't want to make anyone go into anaphylactic shock!

Rachael, Why don't we just label anything with nuts with a sign? Is that OK with you Dave?

It's become a moot point - I didn't have time to make the peanut butter cups. :( In fact - I'm gonna be at least 30 mins late. Sigh.

Anyone needing public transit directions, I suggest 511.org.

El Cerrito Plaza looks like the closest BART station. Is there any bus from there to get me closer?

Thank you, Dave. I am fine with walking one mile. Any suggestion on which streets to walk along or should I just follow a map and walk along any streets that get me there?

I have walked that way too many times to count & never the same way twice. I kind of orient & see that it is diagonally "that way," but not able to fly, i must zig and zag. Realistically, go along the BART track In the direction toward Oakland, then turn east, toward the hills- away from the Bay, at Washington - to Neilson & my place is just to the right. Notice the colors of the trees being like New England!
