August 2010 UPDATE

My intention is to ripple the community of the Playa even farther and find new ways to pull together Burner-minded folks. Of course, fun and otherwise absurd events would be of focus, but, I wouldn't mind spicing it all with some community service (ala Burners Without Borders).

A Meetup will be anything we come up with - the creativity, Awareness and expression of The Playa back here in the Bay Area. Obviously, getting together for local music events, pre/post parties, art, cultural, transcendental, absurdist, heart-focused or any left-of-center happenings will no doubt pull us together - so much to do off-Playa, of course - Anon Salon, How Weird? Festival, officl Burning Man events, countless DJs/parties...Certainly, getting together to plan Black Rock City events or find new camps or just some good folks to commune with out in the desert is inevitable. My experience with Burners (and, of course, like-minded non-Burners) is that beautiful things happen when you put us together. Let's figure it out...
