Introduction
I moved to the Bay Area a few months ago after spending a year in Beijing, China. I went to China for adventure, but discovered my passion for learning Chinese; Now I'm living in San Francisco becoming a CPA doing international taxation.
Do you speak Cantonese or Mandarin or both?
I can speak a better than beginner level of Mandarin and absolutely no Cantonese. I have had a few informal classes and two tutors throughout the last 2 years, but nothing very strict or serious. I hope that joining this group will help a lot. I'm always looking for new Chinese speaking friends to improve my Mandarin. I can actually speak better than I can listen, so I really need to ti gao wo de ting li! My goal is to become functional in Mandarin and one day work in Mainland China or Taiwan.
How did you hear about our group? Through a search engine like google, yahoo? (if yes, what keyword did you use?) or from friends?
I found this group through seeing a link in another Mandarin group.
