Dear Friends:

Our in-home concert with Yoni Levyatov has been SOLD OUT so I cannot, unfortunately, accept anymore RSVPs at this time (Tamara's is the last RSVP I can accept for now).  If still interested in attending, I can, however, put you on a waiting list and if someone cancels, you can have their spot.  If anyone who already RSVP'd with a "yes" can't make it, please let me know as soon as you can so someone else can have your place.  Thanks! - Scott

Original Invite:

For the second in our series of in-home concerts for 2013, we are so very fortunate to have Russian-born, Israeli pianist and Gold Medal winner of our 2011 Piano Competition, the incomparable Yoni Levyatov (http://youtu.be/OFq-pkHdFTI).

Yoni comes from a musical family, with his mother also a pianist and his father a choral director. Yoni graduated from the Manhattan School of Music in 2005 and in 2006 and made his Lincoln Center recital debut at Alice Tully Hall.

His many concert appearances worldwide have included performances at Steinway Hall and the United Nations in New York City; Philharmonic Hall in St. Petersburg, Russia and the Jerusalem Music Center in Israel.

Among his numerous prizes and awards, Mr. Levyatov won the Silver Medal at the 2008 International Bosendorfer Piano Competition and in 2011, the Gold Medal at the International Russian Music Piano Competition, in San Jose, California.

And on the culinary side of things, we are also most fortunate to have back with us for an encore performance, chef extraordinaire, Jerry Wang (see below for menu).

When: Sun., March 17th from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM (wine and hors d’oeuvres will be served from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM and the concert will take place from 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM)

Where: Home of Dan and Irina Morgan, Almaden Valley, San Jose, CA

Hi Friends: As I had mentioned in my previous posting, our in-home piano recital on Sun., March 17th is a sell-out. Please don't be dissuaded though if you would like to attend, but weren't able to RSVP in time. Just let me know and I'll put you on a waiting list. Even with a sell-out, openings usually come up and I will fill them on a first come, first served basis. - Scott

Hi Naomi, sorry to hear you can't make it as Yoni is really quite special. Let me know if there's a change in your plans where maybe you can make it, as we'd love to have you.

Hi friends: Just want to note a change to the program. Yoni will be performing the Schumann Impromptu in B Flat (Variations) instead of the Schumann Presto. Also, seats are still available, but they're filling up fast, so if interested in attending, please make your reservations soon. Thanks and I hope to see you there!

Well you picked a good one then! For me, the perfect setting for a piano recital is in someone’s home. Unlike attending a recital in a concert hall where there’s a separation between the artist and the audience, this is an intimate setting that allows the audience to enjoy some of the world’s most beautiful music up close and in personal. And with Chef Jerry in the kitchen, expect the food to be pretty darn good too :)

Hi Ann: First time for an in-home piano recital or first time for a recital of any kind?
