Opera on Tap, San Francisco presents: OOT Gets Fresh

This April, OOT invites you to enjoy a cold frosty one, and a fresh perspective, as we present contemporary operatic works, dating from the 20th century to present times. As the renewal of springtime sets in, we invite you to set aside the beloved strains of Mozart and Handel, to gain a new appreciation for the world of modern opera! Featuring works by Previn, Copland, Adamo, Bernstein, and much more!

Our line-up of thoroughly modern minstrels includes:

Indre Viskontas, Soprano and Co-Managing Diva
Jessie Neilson, Soprano and Illustrious Host
Kenneth Keel, Baritone
Jessica Wan, Soprano
Hayden Muhl, Tenor
Alix Jerinic, Mezzo-Soprano
Margaret Gordon, Soprano
Emily Schmeichel-Frank, Soprano
Jamie McDonald, Mezzo-Soprano
Katie Gerber-Biswas, Soprano and Co-Managing Diva
Jefferson Taylor, Tenor
Jessica Winn, Mezzo-Soprano
Chelsea Melamed, Soprano
Jonathan Mann, Pianist

Admission is free, but tips are futuristic!!!

Opera on Tap is a non-profit organization whose mission is to break down the stereo-type that opera is a stuffy or elitist art form by bringing it to bars, cafes, and other such venues. Local singers let their hair down and bring you into what feels like an after hours back stage party, singing some of opera's best known and little known pieces in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.

A lot of fun, but the only folks from the group I recognized were old friends who were not even signed up this time.

Did any one find the distortion from the small keyboard amplifier distracting? I rather enjoyed the vocal performance but couldn't get over the keyboard sound quality. I sent the director an email offering to help with this.
