We're a little over 2 weeks away from our second Bay Area Collective Intelligence Meetup. It's scheduled for June 14, 2009 at 3pm. A few people have RSVPed. I'd like to ask everyone else to, even if it is to let me know you're not going to be able to attend.
This is going to be a social event. A chance to meet others in this group and to share ideas on what we're looking for and what we're working on.
I'd also like to get ideas on the meetup itself. What kind of place would you like to meet at? A restaurant? A coffee house? A bar? Do you need public transit to get there? I want your ideas.
This group will discuss ideas and projects involving Collective Intelligence, which is defined as a shared or group intelligence that emerges from the collaboration and competition of many individuals, connected by computer hardware and software, so that collectively they, learn faster, create more intelligent ideas and make more intelligent decisions than is possible for any individual human being.
The second Collective Intelligence Meetup was a success!
It was a really great group with a lot of conversations and ideas. We pulled in people from the Bay Area Artificial Intelligence Meetup who added tremendously. I will be adding a Message Board thread where we can all fill in the conversations we remember and whatever notes we took.
