Astonishing Conversations with Nora Wolfson

Networking events can be so awkward—all those new names and faces and elevator speeches and business cards and outright sales pitches and attempts to make conversation with strangers over coffee or cocktails.

One of the reasons people enjoy coming to BACN is that our meetings aren’t like that. We concentrate our networking time on creating connections between members, not just repeating the same commercials for our consulting practices every month.

Most of us are solo professionals who offer services requiring expertise and brain power. We appreciate having a chance to connect with others for expertise, ideas, and fun. BACN members are generous with their knowledge, sharing freely each month during the Members’ Forum. It’s not surprising that people often ask how they can get to know other BACN members better. They like each other, respect each other, and want to talk with each other.

That’s why we instituted annual extended networking programs. But this is no mere mixer. Nora Wolfson’s approach to connecting you with your consulting peers will astonish you. Bypass the small talk entirely and start the morning by connecting around your values, virtues, and goals. Once you’ve had a chance to find out who else cares about the same things you do, you can share how these things inform your work with clients—or other parts of your life.

Come to the May BACN meeting and participate in two hours of astonishing conversations.

• Turn casual acquaintances into people you know, like, and trust.

• See the value you bring to clients in a new light.

• Launch new and meaningful professional friendships that you will want to continue.
