Brunch at La Note in Berkeley
"La Note is an authentic Provençal restaurant in the heart of downtown Berkeley. Traditional breakfast and lunch bistro fare are combined with rustic Provençal dinners in a warm and charming atmosphere. The restaurant's owner Dorothée Mitrani-Bell, a graduate from UC Berkeley's Environment design program (1994), won an award in excellence in 1998 for "outstanding storefront improvements" and rehabilitation of it's beautiful 1875 building. Her daily goal is to raise her children all the while exposing them and the community to the convivial experience of sharing a wholesome fun and colorful meal reminiscent of her childhood."
This is one of my favorite brunch spots and it's been a little while since I've been so here we go! They're known for their lemon gingerbread and oatmeal creme fraiche pancakes, and garlic roasted rosemary potatoes & tomatoes that accompany most dishes. Hope you can join me for some classic French Provencal fare!
This popular local eatery is usually crowded, and they don't accept reservations for weekend brunch, so I'll get there early to put my name on the list. Be prepared for a short wait.

- Public Transportation: Downtown Berkeley BART station 4 blocks away.
- Parking: Metered parking on Shattuck Ave (x Durant Ave) and 2-hr zoned parking on side streets in residential neighborhood.
