You need to reserve your kayak and then get on our waiting list. Once per week, I will confirm reservations with Kayak Connection, and then add you to the list of "confirmed." We have three weeks to arrange carpools - and I will be in that group! Please discuss the carpool options in the "discussion" section of the web page.
We have a great relationship with the Kayak Connection and go 2-3 times per year. Tell them you are with "Nash." (Call:[masked]-5692.) We arrive at 12 noon to change clothes, get the mini-lesson from Larry (the resident guru), watch the safety video, and fill out paperwork. The cost is $25/person (double) or $35/person (single). Those who bring their own kayaks are not charged. (Just indicate this in your email to me. You will be added among the confirmed.) We can take about 20 kayak renters.
Last year, our April outing had prrr-fect weather. Let's hope we have the same this time. You can also do "kayaking one way" where you pay an extra $12 at the time of your reservation. This way, you go out as far as you like and they pick you up for the return trip. Pretty neat! On the water, you can expect a lazy afternoon with the sea otters, sea lions, seals, pelicans and various diving birds to play along the shores and in the water beside you. We always have great folks joining us. Perhaps equally delightful is the super fresh seafood dinner that is our trademark afterward. You are invited to join us at Phil's Seafood which is Ah-MAA-zing!
This event is being shared with all our current members and another meet-up group. You are welcome to bring a guest. Please bring $1 to defray the cost of our meet-up website. Hope to see you there!!
