FULL UP! Sunset Sails next week! Sailing and Fireworks www.CaptDan.net

Experience July 4th in the best way possible - from the water!

You will get the sunset and the fireworks are just an added bonus.

We will meet at the dock at 4 after you have had a chance to check out the rest of the marina and all of the fun events for everyone else.  Then you get your special event - a sail aboard Feral, a classic wooden sloop!

This really is what it looks like almost every night!

The weather forecast looks great for this years 4th!  Bring your swimsuits just in case!

Even though it is predicted to be very warm it is always a good bit colder on the water.

By the time the sun goes down it will be chilly.  There is a good chance it will be windy too which means waves will break and blow spray across the boat!  Just like in the movies!

This sail includes free wine and snacks - you won't go home hungry for sure!

We will have meats and cheeses, crackers and bread, berries, chocolate and of course lots of wine!  I'll make sure we won't run out!

All you need to bring are your own warm clothes and non-marking shoes.

There is plenty of room down below to stow your gear if you aren't wearing it - your warm ski type clothes during the day when you might be getting a tan and your swimsuit later when you are bundled up watching the fireworks with a glass of wine in your hand.

BUT...there is NOT a flushing toilet (called a 'head' on a boat) on Feral!  Just a porta potty and 'the bucket'!  There are very nice amenities in the marina for before and after our sail.  These facilities are only available to sailors and not the general public.  The porta potty is very clean as it has never been used.  'The bucket' gets used all the time.

To view pictures of the boat and to read reviews go to the website and also to my facebook page which is linked to the website.

To reserve your spot go to:

www.captdan.net

You will see the July 4th link right on the first page.  Follow it through till you get to the shopping cart.

Spots are $100 each.

Arrive in the Marina early - by 3!! - to find a parking spot!

You may have to walk a distance to get to the dock.  If you can ride a bike it is really the way to go!

Safety is always the main concern!  If conditions dictate we may return to the marina early and watch the fireworks from the safety of the slip in the marina.  Unsafe conditions include too many drunken sailors (even if they are on our own boat!)  All sailors wear a lifejacket at all times!  Lifejackets are provided.

Refunds:  Refunds will only be given if the boat does not sail at all.  Weather, environmental conditions etc will all cause the trip to be canceled and you will get a full refund.  No one wants to sail in the rain!  But if you miss the boat - literally - then you are out of luck!  We will however wait a longer than reasonable time if you are on your way.  We will be eating and having a glass of wine after all!  Sailing is NOT about being stressed or adhering to a strict timel-ine.

This was probably one of my best July 4th celebrations, and definitely the best way to watch fireworks!! Thanks to Captain Dan and to everyone that was there for an absolutely fantastic trip!

What a great time! The fireworks went off right over our heads! And that was after a sail to the city front and around Alcatraz. A great time and great folks who made it all even more fun!

I hope to see you all out on the water again soon!!
