HIGHLAND, SILVER and PATTERSON PEAK are three 10,000 plus-foot peaks located in the Carson Iceberg Wilderness near Ebbetts pass in the Sierra Nevada. This is an opportunity for backpackers/peak-baggers to spend a few days at a highly scenic and pristine area of the Sierra Nevada & break out the backpacking equipment to bag Highland Peak (a noteworthy SPS listed peak) and two neighboring peaks!

ITINERARY:

FRIDAY- Day 1: Arrive at Ebbetts Pass at 3:30 PM. 4 Mile backpack to Noble Lake for overnight camping.
SATURDAY Day 2: Early morning departure for 10+ mile, 3000+ft. elevation gain hike to Highland Peak, Silver Peak and Patterson Peak. All 3 peaks include cross-country and class 2 and limited class 3 scrambling over challenging volcanic rock terrain at times. Experience required.

SUNDAY: Day 3: 4 mile hike back to cars. Drive home.

FEE: $10 pre-event fee to be paid with paypal. This fee covers the cost to the organizer for putting this event together.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: This event is for members with back-packing experience and difficult cross-country class 2/3 scrambling peak bagging experience. All 3 peaks are over 10,000 feet so some experience at higher elevations necessary also.

HOW TO SIGN-UP. Answer the RSVP questions when you sign-up and join the waitlist. If you choose not to answer the RSVP questions you will not be considered for this event. Thanks!

WHAT TO BRING: Everything necessary for two nights camping: VERY Warm Clothing, Tent, Sleeping Bag, Sleeping Pad, Headlamp, Mosquito Repellant, etc.

MEALS: Participants are responsible for all their own meals. People generally share food around meals but everyone should be self-sufficient. If you need to share a stove or similar items mention on the discussion board so others can respond.

WATER: Bring a filter or share with someone. Water from Noble's lake or a nearby stream.
