Red Reels Celebrates Women's History Month

The Red Poppy’s new film series, Red Reels, will celebrate Women’s History Month with a female-fronted lineup of film and live music. On Sunday, March 3rd Red Reels and the San Francisco International Film Festival are teaming up to present a special program of shorts from the festival’s Global Panorama section. Go around the world with a selection of 2012’s best indie shorts directed by women from Spain, Israel, South Korea, Japan, Australia, United Kingdom, Canada, and the US. From animation to drama, these short films tell tales of love, loss, death, and hope. In addition to the films, YeYe Suarez will join us for a live acoustic set of soulful female vocals, Afro-Latin rhythms, and lyrical storytelling.

More information at

$5-$15 admission. Doors at 6:30 pm. Film at 7:00 pm.

Note: This a TINY, but very popular venue. GET THERE EARLY!!!
Sadly, I will not be attending :( but I LOVE the Red Poppy so you should go. And if you can, pay $15 for the ticket. This is a wonderful space and like all fabulous art spaces they need funding.
