Great meetup. Only one film was subpar, that being the first one. I thought it was refreshing that no one applauded. Powerful ending wretched dialogue. The others were great.

It sounds like fun! But what makes these films "trendy"?

These films have been selected by international juries and have won at least one festival award. Besides, films are made recently by talented filmmakers so in a way it sets a certain ''trend'' for short filmmaking nowadays.
