As you may or may not know, I spent last fall producing, filming and
finishing a short filmed titled "Mattina Presto Luce". I wrote, produced
& directed it, and worked with a great bunch of people along the
While some of you may have seen it, it has not until now been
released for general viewing. I kept it off the web because I had it
entered into many festivals (it wasn't accepted by any) and I didn't
want to compromise its eligibility. However, as of right now, its down
to consideration in only two more festivals, and I am anxious that those
who wish to watch it may now do so.
I have uploaded it to YouTube, and have a private link to the movie. If you want to see the movie, you must request the link from me.
keep in mind that the movie is 23 minutes long. If you request the
link, please be sure you are committed to watching the whole movie.

Mattina Presto Luce is an homage to
early 1960's European films and directors, directly influenced by
Michelangelo Antonioni's L'Eclisse (1962). My movie is more about
capturing a moment in time between two people as they make a life
altering decision than a being plot driven film.
Using desaturated colors, spare dialog & music and keeping movement
to a minimum, I wanted to create a pace (and space) unlike contemporary
film making. I also am asking the viewer to slow down and rely more on
their own observational skills than relying on me to tell them what to
think or feel. The movie is quiet and slow and that is intended.
If you choose to watch, I hope you like it, or at least appreciate
what I was attempting to do. I also ask that you rate the movie, either
good OR bad.
Please respond if you'd like me to send the link to you!
