Special Guests at Film and Business Networking Event Nov 18 – 6:30-9 p.m. We are delighted to announce the special guests who will be bringing their own short films. Robert Bowden will be showing “I Just Wanna Ball,” a documentary about four young women who strive to achieve a higher learning and success in basketball, and Ian Carruthers who will be showing “Loaded Paradise,” a short film about forgiveness with whiskey and a loaded gun. Plus other short films announced on the invitation. If you have already RSVPed on one of our Meetup Groups but haven’t yet gotten your ticket, tickets are $10 in advance; $15 at the door, space available, since tickets are limited to 50 attendees, and we have about 20 tickets sold and 60 RSVPs. Plus if you are on the advance ticket list, your name will be included in a raffle for over $50 in prizes. The event will be at the SF School of Digital Filmmaking, 925 Mission, San Francisco. Tickets are at https://shortfilmsandbusinessnetworkingparty.eventbrite.com. Snacks and beverages from 6:30-7 before the program and more networking from 8:30-9:00 p.m.
Contributions for Raffle. Would you like to contribute anything to the raffle? These can include DVDs, books, gift tickets to events or services, novelty items, whatever you’d like to contribute. You’ll get to introduce yourself and present your item to the winner. Please email me with your contact information, including a phone number, and what you’d like to contribute, so I can add it to the list.
Plans for Future Events. We’ll start these events again in January, because of the holidays in December. The plan is to continue to make this a showcase for short films with networking before and after the event for the film and business communities.
Next Film Exchange in December. Our next Film Exchange will be in December, probably the 9th or 11th, depending on what else is going on. Get and give feedback on whatever you are working on – a script, new idea, DVD of your latest projects, or ask questions about the film industry. Or just come to see what others are doing and give feedback. No charge since this is a group for sharing ideas. More details in a week or two.
Hope to see you at the event.
