San Pablo Reservoir Fishing

Only 2 weeks left until my favorite lake to fish closes for the season. I can fit 3 additional people on my raft. We will fish for trout and bass in the morning and then catfish later on. I will teach you everything you need to know about fishing from a small boat. We will go over basic knot tying and baiting. After you go out with me one day, you will be able to rent a boat or buy one, and catch fish. I am charging $20 per head to pay for the costs of lures and bait.

I have everything you need to fish, just show up with your state license. The park will also charge you a $5 fishing fee and a parking fee ($6 I think). We can carpool from Newark or North of there if you want. Just email me after you RSVP and I will send you my phone number.

Gonna be cold in the morning so dress warm. We have to pack light as there is not a whole lot of room on the boat. I have a good size cooler that can hold our food and drinks. So, bring whatever you want to eat and drink (alcohol is okay). Fish on!

I had a great time yesterday! :-) Thank you, Asiel for such a wonderful fishing trip! I had wanted to go fishing for a long time but never able to find somebody to learn from (or make it to go) until now. Thank you Asiel for everything! Your patience, your generosity etc!

No big lunker fish, but a very solid day of fishing. I think we landed between 15-20 but only kept 10. Thanks for coming out guys!

With garlic butter, lemon pepper and a side of salad and brown rice - this evening's dinner was worth the catch.

Alright, all booked up and ready to roll. Its in between bass and trout season so this will be interesting. I am predicting a very mixed bag at the end of a day.

If I do go. Do you mean be at the boat launch at 5:30 am? Or is that the time you are leaving your home at?
I was thinking of bringing my kayak and just joining you. Not sure yet.

I'm interested but like to know what time are you planning to meet for carpool at newark (I assume that's near/in Fremont, right?)? & do you/anybody have a fishing rod/pole I can borrow?

    October 10, 2013

    • Asiel

I have enough rods and gear for everyone. Newark is basically Fremont. I want to leave Newark around 530. I live right off the 880 freeway and Mowry in Newark.
