California Cup Championship

Maximum of 8 teams. Likely Fresno, San Diego, SF, Menlo Park, LA and others.

This is a one day tournament. I will likely drive down Friday night, stay in a hotel and drive back Saturday right after the games are over. Usually stopping in Los Banos for dinner. It is also possible to drive down Saturday morning early if that is more convenient. The drive is about 2.5-3 hours.

We need a minimum of 10 field players. I have set the maximum signup for 15 players so that we can have a maximum of 3 lines. All are welcome, however, I will definitely be strategic in setting up the lines and amount of floor time. This will be especially important when games are close. In other words, all will play, but some may get more playing time than others when the heat is on.

I have set the per person fee at $65 as the registration fee is $650.00. If we get more than 10 field players, or I am able to get sponsorship,  I will refund a portion of the signup fee.

    Hey floorballers. So my slip last game has presented a minor set-back for me. No permanent damage discovered but I have been pulled back from hockey and running (biking/hiking still ok) for at least a few weeks while we sort things out. This means that I can't play in the tournament and will likely not attend either. I may learn something different when I go back in two weeks for a check-up with both my surgeon and PT, but that comes after the cut-off date for signup so I'll see where we stand with players.

      That's a minor set back indeed! The, what turned out to be, last game I asked around, but didn't convince anyone to join the tournament. It doesn't look really good for us, does it? What was the cut-off date?

    I'm not sure, but wouldn't for an initial indication whether there's enough people interested in joining it be better to not immediate require payment at the moment of RSVP? I definitely understand the financial guarantee, but maybe you can enforce that by April 14 or something.

Refunds offered if:

  • the Meetup is cancelled
  • the Meetup is rescheduled
  • you can cancel at least 30 day(s) before the Meetup

Additional notes: We need a minimum of 10 paid/confirmed players by April 20th so that I can register the team. If we don't reach the minimum, I will cancel the event and refund the money. However, once I register the team after April 20th, no refunds will be given unless

Payments you make go to the organizer, not to Meetup. You must make refund requests to the organizer.
