Join us if you want to learn or share how to find, ID, gather, process, and use foods, medicine, and tools from the wild. Hunter-gatherers easily met all their needs from the wild and we can too. Nowadays we work twice as much as hunter-gatherers did, and get half the quality of food. Together, we'll learn knowledge and skills to reduce our reliance on corporations and try to live in balance with nature. We'll go on short walks or extended trips outdoors to find and gather edible, medicinal, and useful plants, mushrooms, etc. My strengths are in edible plants, insects, and mushrooms, but I also know a lot about primitive skills and tools, plenty about animals and tracking, and a fair bit about medicines. Members are invited to share their knowledge and skills and suggest activities and places. Anyone may join except those intending to sell any foods they gather from the wild. We'll adhere to ethical guidelines, such as gathering only what is needed for personal or family use, leaving plenty for wild creatures and sustaining the population, minimizing waste, and caring for the land.

See my website AncestralArts.net or the "Pages" tab for foraging resources.
