This was a great event! Not too big... (I wonder if it's hard to run this though when so many people sign up but don't go!) I was lucky enough to get to speak to Frederic later at Il Pirata...

Fred was simply awesome. He came full force with relevant expertise and wisdom to positively influence peoples careers. He shared things in a very unselfish manner that could take years to comprehend. One of the best meetup "gaming" speakers ever.

Fred was great and very generous in spending his time to help others. What a nice guy? I follow his footstep in being a nice guy in helping others. I talked to him before the meeting and he was so kind to answer some of my questions in develping games. I hope we can make a great friendship in the coming months as I take my journey with my few teammates to conquer the world of the internet. Not with great ideas but with a mission. Nobody believes in great ideas anymore. Great ideas are actually simple ideas and that is why nobody believes in you or me or any joe walking on the streets. Did you know Tetris the game was rejected by every game company after pitching to them? I read a great article that even if you pitch Pac Mac to any gaming executive, nobody would give you an open door. People just don't believe in great ideas anymore but they will take you submmision ideas just to look at them. Always try to protect you ideas because there are too many greedy people on this planet. Ming.

This is not a fair rating as even though I RSVP'd, I was turned away because of over crowding. I feel that once the limit of seating is reached, the meeting should be closed, and a list of those who did RSVP should be kept and seats reserved, isn't that what RSVP is about?? Due to the popularity, I can suppose it was an excellent meet up, but clearly preparation needs to be improved. Gene

Fred's talk was great. Very useful insight into how game dev companies get off track and how to get them back on.

If this were GDC, I would rate this as one of the better talks of the show. Great presentation, humorous, engaging, and a lesson that EVERYONE making games can take something from. I hope he gets to show this to more audiences, and I will definitely return for Part II if it happens.
