July's Wiki Social is being co-hosted with Slipsquad.com and Strategi LLC, and will be held at the chic bar Rye, located within walking distance of Union Square. In case you haven't been to one of our events in awhile, they've grown exponentially, with our last event drawing over 150 people. We want to thank !iTJeans again for giving away free pairs of jeans to Job Seekers at our last event.

This month will again be a great opportunity for people to network with other Job Seekers, as well as Recruiters, Employers, and Entrepreneurs. Just ask Ken Hoffman how valuable these events can be -- he landed a job with the company National Realty, whom he had met at our May Wiki Social event (yes, there are success stories from our events!)

We're expecting to have over 100 people in attendance for July's event, so there will be no shortage of opportunities to meet even more new people and gain some great exposure for your career or business idea. And as always, even if you're not currently in the job market, this will still be a great opportunity to expand upon your network and promote who you are. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Because you can have your personal pro BHI headshot done at the event to use on your MeetUp, LinkedIn, Facebook and other favorite online networking sites. This will help you recognize those important people you may have missed at the event and to show the world your best side! Again, I liked it a lot. It was less crowded than the one at Lime (but Mark told me that the free Levi giveaway drew a lot of people). It was great that there was also a place that wasn't nearly so packed (where one could breathe and move around). I still would prefer a larger venue so people could move around. Otherwise, the only suggestion I have is colored name-tags for the recruiters, so that we could more easily see who was who. I may have missed a recruiter because I didn't see him/her.

I thought it was great. This was my first time. Name tags definitely a must. I think next time recruiters need a different type of label. It is hard to differentiate who is who. I wanted to get right to the recruiters first. I ended up meeting alot of folks all looking for work in between finding a recruiter. I felt this was a great way to get connections, and will attend future events. It would be better to have a layout with one open space versus a narrow bar area and separate back room. Most people were congregating around the bar where it became too congested and loud. (hard to maneuver). Thanks for sponsoring this meet up! Sincerely Steve Greenberg

It was my first Wiki Social and I enjoyed myself and was able to connect with a few people.

I have some suggestions that I hope would make the process easier for folks. It would be good (and more efficient) to somehow be able to differentiate between job seekers (and what they're looking for) from job providers. Might I suggest that you have two different-colored name tags going forward... one for job seekers, and another color for job providers/recruiters. The visual ID about who to focus on would be much more immediate. The second suggestion is to recommend that job seekers put on their name tags what they're looking for, in addition to their names. That would help the recruiters more easily identify prospects. Just a suggestion!

It seemed a bit unfocused to me. In general, I think these things work a lot better when there is a theme. Furthermore, I was not happy with the WorkYourCareer squad trying to force their reverse career fair on me, for which they only had 7 employers (some of which were recruiters).

The last event was such a great event. There were a lot more recruiters and so much energy. I didn't think this one was as engaging.
