Michael McNevin and Tami Mulcahy: House Concert, Sunday Sept 1st

Michael McNevin and Tami Mulcahy have added a House Concert date for Sunday, September 1st, at 7:00pm in Los Altos. Yes, a Sunday. But Monday is a holiday. So we hope you can join us for part of your holiday weekend.

Thanks to all who came out last time. That was the first use of the back yard for a concert and we really liked it. So bring a sweater, just in case it's cool. Chairs are provided. Bring whatever drink you would like to consume. Some people brought snacks to share. It was really nice, but not required.

Suggested donation $10-20. Address provided with RSVP. [masked]
"A San Francisco Bay Area native, Michael McNevin cut his troubadour teeth in the subways and streets of Greenwich Village. Now a veteran of the folk scene, Michael has logged close to 20 years worth of concerts across the U.S., and he's been a main stager at some of the bigger music festivals around, including the Strawberry, Kerrville, High Sierra, and Philadelphia music festivals. He's been billed in clubs and halls with the likes of Johnny Cash, Shawn Colvin, Donovan, Richie Havens, Christine Lavin, Utah Phillips, and 100s of others on the songwriter circuit. He has a seasoned voice, accomplished steel string guitar work, and a vivid brand of storytelling. He is a past winner of the Kerrville New-folk award in Texas, a 6-time winner of the West Coast Songwriters Association "Song Of The Year" ('91, '92, '97, '98, '05, '09), and was chosen by Performing Songwriter Magazine as a Top 12 “DIY Artist Of The Year".
Fans describe her voice as “simply beautiful”. It draws you in and the words take over. From the playful Water Me Down to the moving war tribute Lucky Forward, her new CD is story telling at it’s best. Recorded in part with Grammy winning producer Enrique Gonzalez Muller, careful attention was given to organic flavorings in the vein of David Gray and Shawn Colvin. Tami is back on the performance trail sharing her music. From house concerts to the Mountain Winery, her performance style has been called “personal and authentic”.

The numbers have crept up so I think I am going to call this Sold Out! Yes, it's a back yard and there is fudge factor but I like to keep it to a more personal feel. Thanks and hopefully more to follow. If anyone ever wants to host Michael and/or me up the Berkeley/East Bay way, let me know. Cheers!

Yes, Looking forward to it. It's a solid crowd. I'm happy people could come out given the short notice. Yay! It's a stretch of a drive for Bay Area House Concert people but hopefully we can find a venue up Berkeley/Oakland way soon.

Hi South Bay/Peninsula folks, looking forward to the Sunday cobill in Los Altos with Tami Mulcahy :-). Sort of a Labor Day Weekend songwriter mini-fest without all the Mtn driving. I think Tami has 20-25 attending so far, will be a nice crowd just like last time, great yard for it. BYO, and maybe a layer, and a favorite folding chair too if you want (but they put 25 seats out themselves too). Thanks for hosting Tami and Tim!
