Hi! There appear to be many people in the Bay Area that are involved or interested in (renewable) energy in developing countries. This happy hour is meant to be an informal forum in which folks can meet each other and share ideas. Ideally, we'd like to establish periodic meetings or events for the group.
We'll meet at Roe (close to Montgomery BART station) starting at 6pm. They have happy hour drink specials until 8pm.
Look forward to seeing you there! Please invite others that may be interested (to the extent possible, would be great if they could join the meetup group and RSVP).
Thanks!
Hi!
Glad that we had such a great turnout for our first Energy in Developing Countries happy hour in January. Based on feedback, we'll plan to organize another one. Please email me if you'd be interested in helping to organize such events.
In addition, there is a proposal for a half-day workshop focused on energy access/off-grid solar solutions in emerging markets (e.g. devices, single home systems, microgrids, etc.) as bolt on to the InterSolar conference in San Francisco, which takes place from 8-11 July 2013. The proposal is to have a small-group format workshop, ideally with substantial representation from Bay Area companies/individuals, to discuss topics such as technology, marketing/distribution, policy, and financing for energy access/off-grid solar solutions in emerging markets. Please email me if you'd be interested in learning more and/or helping to organize this (which would be much appreciated).
Thanks!

I just found this meet up and want to come on Tuesday, however I have an overlapping event in Mission that starts a bit earlier. I'm going to try and do both. Hopefully it works out.
