I became interested in International Development through volunteer work in Boston. I volunteered with AIDS Action and the Coalition to Save Darfur, both of which served as springboards to my awareness and interest in various other international public-health related issues. My interest was cemented by a 4-month stay in Zimbabwe, where I got to experience many of the scenarios I had been learning during my MPH studies. I now volunteer with Many Hopes in San Francisco and the International Rescue Committee in Oakland.
I moved to the Bay Area in 2011 after finishing my MPH in Boston. I now work in in research at Children's Hospital Oakland. I volunteer with international health and development organizations in the Bay Area.
