I'm hijacking this group for Juniper-centric meetups for network and security automation. If you're interested in a more general group, then the illustrious Kirk Byers' (@kirkbyers) SF Network Automation would be my wholehearted recommendation.
I've been at Juniper for 90+ days now, and needless to say, it's taking up 200% of my time... in the best way possible. I'm heading up automation efforts for Juniper's Security Business Unit, and I'd love to share in your quests to build some of the largest secure networks of tomorrow. I'm now a member of Hacker Dojo, and we'll aim for a new meetup there shortly.
Thanks to the 10 or so people that asked about the future of the meetup at ChefConf for urging me to continue, but I'm working on too many Juniper-centric projects, and it wouldn't be fair to the group to continue as-is. Again, if this isn't for you, then Kurt's group is doing awesome things, and I urge you to follow him on social media for lots of supercharged shortcuts to the world of network automation.
We'll be talking about Juniper's Firefly Suite, DDoS Secure, WebApp Secure, and Juniper's other security products, as well as Junos automation, Contrail, and SecDevOps in general. Other topics will include Packer, Vagrant, Docker, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, and more. If you're interested in policy management, network analytics, visualisation, big data, cloud building, and High IQ networks, then you've come to the right place.
