This group is for people who love kirtan, or for anyone who is curious about it. If you enjoy the music of Krishna Das, Snatam Kaur, Jai Uttal, Deva Premal, Karnamrita Dasi, Ragani, Mukti, Sean Johnson & the Wild Lotus Band,  Dave Stringer and other kirtan artists, then this group is for you!

Those who haven't yet experienced kirtan, but are interested in spirituality, yoga, meditation, music, etc. are also welcome to join the group and check it out. We just ask that you read the "Group Guidelines" in the "Pages" section prior to joining the group. By joining this group you are consenting to abide by these guidelines. 

We try to experience about 7-10 kirtans a year together here in the San Francisco Bay Area. We sometimes also get together before a kirtan, sharing a meal or tea, so we can also get to know each other better and experience some wonderful synchronities!

This group is also meant to be a community resource for people who are in need of their "kirtan fix." In addition to the group having regular gatherings together ("official BAKL group meetups"), we also strive to list lots of local kirtans in the calendar section, which is viewable whether or not you are a member of this meetup group. You can subscribe to a RSS feed of the calendar if you wish, which will notify you when new kirtans are posted.
