Introduction
I just returned from 10 days in the DR, Cabarete Kitebeach where I was taking kiteboarding lessons. I would love to connect with people in the sport locally, maybe to carpool to Rio Vista when there is wind or other local spots like 3rd.
What are your favorite outdoor activites?
Anything involving the water is my favorite outdoor activity: wakeboarding, skiing, kayaking, haven't yet but I would like to get into surfing. I like other outdoor activities but prefer to be on the water if at all possible even if in a wetsuit.
What attracts you to kite boarding or stand up paddeling ?
Stand up paddeling looks fun but I haven't given that a shot yet. I like the kiteboarding culture. I know someone that goes out to Rio Vista to kite all day Saturday, camp that night then kite all day Sunday. That is right up my alley!
Are you already a kiteboarder or stand up paddler ?
I am almost self sufficient. When I launch I am pulling the bar and losing my board every time and scrambling to regain control of my kite. With a little more practice I should be fine.
What are your interests in regards to this meet up ?
I want to meet people who are into the sport and that I could tag along with when they go out.
Would you be interested in organizing an event or get-together on this meet up ?
