First off, a new organizer does not mean anything. Simply means a new credit card has been used to pay the fee. (Thanks to Bryan for being the founder.)
The purpose of this group remains the same. It is an open forum for folks around the Bay Area to organize rides and come together in unity.
The Bay Area Motorcycle Riders Meetup Group (BAMR) is a way for motorcycle enthusiasts to plan rides together. It was created in the spirit of bringing motorcyclists of all ages and abilities together to explore: through riding, conversation, sharing experiences, and yes, even eating together. After all, what's a good ride if it doesn't include good food? If you love to ride, love new experiences, and want to meet others who share your passion, join us and come along for a ride.
The goal of this meetup is to encourage members to share experience(s) with one another, to ride more often, and create a fellowship based on a common passion. We are a group of people from all over the Bay Area, so everyone is encouraged to propose a ride in their area, or one that happens to be one of their favorites. This way folks get to share their experience with others, meet other people from their area, as well as encourage riders from other areas to share the experience.
This meetup group to facilitate setting up a meeting somewhere, such as a Starbucks. From there, whomever shows up can plan their ride. If you plan to meet, please RSVP, so people know to expect you at the meetup site.
Please feel free to organize and plan a ride of your own devising that you'd like to share with the group. You can propose meetups by posting the time and location, distance, and any other particulars you deem important. You can track who will be coming by checking the RSVP list.
You know the drill. It's simple.
Have fun. Ride safe. See you at our next meetup.
