- Susie's Book Club with "TheĀ Wager" at SanĀ Mateo CentralĀ ParkSan Mateo Central Park Meadow, San Mateo, CA
We're currently meeting on the fourth Sunday of each month in the main meadow of San Mateo Central Park - weather permitting - to discuss our current book.
Feel free to bring food/drinks to consume or share and chairs/blankets for lounging.
The book for March is "The Wager" by David Grann. Read about it or order a copy here on Amazon.
- Los Altos FirstĀ Friday MusicĀ with FourteenĀ Bands!EnchantĆ© Boutique Hotel, Los Altos, CA
Tonight and on the first Friday evening of each month, Los Altos hosts "First Friday" with live bands playing all over the downtown area of First and Main Streets. Come join the fun. Music, food, drinks, people-watching - what's not to like??
Our own Rob Van Wandelen's "House Band" performs outside tonight at the Hotel EnchantƩ, and we usually make that location our HQ for the evening. There are many other bands playing up and down nearby streets!
Please note that we have a long-time understanding with the hotel for New Beginnings not to take more then twelve seats, so they'll have room for their hotel guests and other visitors. Please help us monitor and manage this. If we approach twelve, please visit some of the other many nearby "First Friday" venues.
If the weather is bad, we may move our festivities to the nearby State of Mind Public House (101 Plaza North in Los Altos - web site). Check back here for news
