What attracted you to this group?

Seeing the joy and open slate that my young daughter is, I want her identity to be formed by what she chooses, not what a company or media group decides a little/growing girl should be.

How are you resisting the commercialization of your kids' childhood?

No television in our house, with limits to any screen time for our daughter. She has not gone to preschool yet, where we have seen many of friends being soaked into the Princess-zombie land. Staying present and aware of what messages she is getting from friends, books we read, and talking with her about them.

In general, what days of the week/times are you most available to meetup?

Mornings during the week are usually best.

What kind of activities would you like to participate in?

Walks, play dates, museum outings, creating/art/craft sessions, cooking with the kids

I am lucky to get to be at home with my 4 year old daughter most of the time, enjoying cooking, dancing, gardening, art, beach walks and many other adventures together.
