Thanks Edward for hosting this event. I had a great time with everyone. We arrived earlier and picked a good spot for shooting. I also learned some tips from Edward and other group members. Really enjoy this event and cannot wait to meet everyone in future event.

I had a great time at this meet-up. It was my first meet-up, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I found it to be very well organized, and those in attendance were very welcoming and friendly. I also very much appreciate the willing everyone was to answer questions and offer feedback. I also very much enjoyed the parade, despite the delays. It was a beautiful affair and I feel very lucky to have been a part of it.

The meetup was well organized. Ed got us at the meeting place. We got to chat with each other until the parade started. The Carnaval... It was "just" good. I liked last year's better. Maybe a bit disorganized this year. Too much space between groups and some times the parade stopped for "many" minutes at a time.

The parade was awesome, but I downgrade it for being 1/2 hour late allowing too many people who aren't part of the procession inside the barricades (blocking our view) and leaving too many long spaces between participants.

Bob - I hope you don't blame us for the delay. Remember that in the email I sent to everyone, I said that they usually start late at around 10 am and they actually started a little after 10.

That comment was about the venue only. We had a good time, even while waiting. As always, you do a great fob putting this together!

What a great day! The crowds were smaller than expected which made the parade much more enjoyable. The parade itself was even better than in previous years and I enjoyed seeing all of the wonderful and colorful images. It was also nice to see many of you at the 24th street meeting spot. Thanks to everyone who uploaded so many pictures so quickly.

Ed, maybe I missed the e-mail. Where are we meeting? Thanks

    May 24, 2013

Will send it out again on Saturday morning to be sure everyone got it.

Ed, do you have any idea when we'll be done here? I understand there will be a free Taiko drump performance at Union Square Park from 2:00-3:00.

    May 23, 2013

    • Edward W.

My best guess is that the parade will start between 9:30 am and 10 and it usually runs for a few hours. I guess you should leave when you need to even if the parade is no over.

What's a good lens to bring to this type of events? Thanks

Would suggest a wide angle zoom like an[masked] mm.
