PHOTOGRAPH MIGRATING BUTTERFLIES AND MUCH MORE AT ARDENWOOD HISTORIC PARK
Date: Sunday, January 15
Time: We will meet at 10:00 am sharp at the Visitor's center.
Location: Ardenwood Historic Farm, 34600 Ardenwood Park, Fremont
Here is a link to their website where you can get more information about the Farm.
http://www.ebparks.org/parks/ardenwood
Cost: This is a free event - the only cost is a $2.00 entrance fee and the $3.00 fee for the train ride.
I was watching the news on TV and there was a short segment about the record number of Monarch Butterflies that have arrived at Ardenwood this year - estimated to be 10 times the normal number. It should be a lot of fun to get together and photograph them.
We will begin by meeting at the Visitor's center and take the horse drawn train ride around the farm - there is a $3.00 fee for that.
After the train ride, we will go to the area where the Monarch butterflies are located.
There are also a lot of other photo opportunities in the park: A Victorian Garden, Animal farms where you will see sheep, pigs, turkeys, chickens, rabbits, goats, and cows, the Patterson house built in 1857 and, for the birders, many species of birds.
The weather is supposed to be good so it should be a lot of fun.
If you are planning to attend, please enter a Yes RSVP on the Meetup page.
Hope to see you there.
Edward Woods,
Organizer.
