The property is on the corner of Page Mill and Hanover St., in Building 2. Turn onto Hanover from Page Mill and enter the parking lot on the left (East) side. Then, go left and park as close to the pond as you can get.
Follow the pathway that runs parallel to the pond until you cross the wooden bridge, and the building entrance will be to your right.

Title: Finding a Needle in a Stack of Needles - Adding Search to the Hadoop Ecosystem
Speaker: Patrick Hunt
Abstract: Apache Hadoop is enabling organizations to collect larger, more varied data - but after it's collected how will it be found? Your users expect to be able to search for information using simple text based queries -- regardless of data location, size, and complexity. How do they quickly find information that's just been created, or been stored for months or even years? Cloudera Search team lead Patrick Hunt will present our solution to this problem; what architecture is necessary to search HDFS and HBase? How was Apache Solr, Lucene, Flume and MapReduce integrated to allow for Near Real Time and Batch indexing of documents? What are the solved problems and what's still to come? Join us for an exciting discussion on this new technology.
Bio: Patrick Hunt is a major contributor and PMC member on the Apache ZooKeeper project. He joined Cloudera more than three years ago and currently leads the Cloudera Search team. Previous to Cloudera he spent five years at Yahoo! where he specialized in large-scale distributed systems architecture. During this time he also drove development of the critically acclaimed Delicious firefox extension.
Title: Secure Full-Text Search using Apache Sentry with Apache Solr
Speaker: Greg Chanan
Abstract: Apache Solr and Apache Sentry (incubating) combine the ease and flexibility of full-text querying with the familiar and trusted Hadoop security framework critical for adoption in many organizations. In this talk, we'll discuss how Apache Sentry provides security support to Apache Solr via Kerberos authentication as well as access control at the Collection and Document level.
Bio: Gregory Chanan is a Software Engineer at Cloudera working on Cloudera Search. He is a committer on the Apache HBase and Apache Sentry (incubating) projects and a contributor to various other Apache projects. Prior to Cloudera, he worked as a Software Engineer for distributed computing software startup Optumsoft.
