Let's get together and help each other achieve the perfect fit on our latest garment! Bring a sewn up muslin, your pattern, and any fitting resources you might have. We'll each take a turn in our garment and help each other identify and solve fit issues.

I thought that the Fit Clinic was really useful. There was an issue with the armhole fit of my muslin that I hadn't realized. I originally thought that my fit issue was due to the shoulder width not being broad enough.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Fit Clinic. Amanda was a wonderful host, and I was blown away by the talent and experience of the other attendees. I brought a muslin of a blouse I hope to make up in the future, and I was very pleased with not only the fitting but also the tips and tricks I received from the others in the group about how to make a beautiful blouse.

I won't be at the meetup this afternoon. I've been up all night with the stomach flu. I'm sorry to miss it especially since I'm the organizer. I hope you all have a good time and walk away with the perfect fit!

I will not be able to attend this after all. I wanted to let the group know so that someone on the waiting list will be able to participate.

Hi, Sana. This is what I had in mind: everyone would bring their pre-sewn muslin with them as well as their pattern and any fitting tools that they like to use. We'll each get a chance to try on our muslin while the others help us assess the fit. We'll make marks and pin the muslin where changes are needed and then we can transfer those marks and make the changes on our patterns. This way no machines are necessary.

Hi, I just joined for the Fit Clinic on Feb 18th. Do we need to bring our own sewing machines? or will we be doing the fitting by hand stiching? please explain how it'll work. thankyou

There is a concierge but they aren't always at the desk. Can always check downstairs for you and there are always people coming in and out of the building all the time. I am sure it won't be a problem!!

@Stephanie - I'm glad you're interested! I would like to repeat the event since I always have garments to fit.
@ Amanda - Is there no call box? I'm really strange and I don't have a cell phone.

I would love to go to this but I will be at a conference that weekend. If there is enough interest, can we repeat this event?

Thank you, Meghan! I hope to see you/meet you there!

Hi ladies--I limited the RSVP to 8 with an automatic waiting list. I'm going to try to find something to fit so I can attend :) What a great idea!

Thank you, Amanda! Is that unit 1711? I've asked Meghan to place a limit on the number of attendees. Looking forward to meeting you and tweaking some garments!

My address is 1711, 383 kings street. You will need to add that to your details, right opposite the Caltrain.

Saturday 18th is fine for me! I don't know how to set up groups but I do know that you can limit the numbers who attend.

Amanda, that's incredibly generous of you to offer to host! I'm not familiar with the MeetUp format but is there a way to limit the RSVPs? Saturday afternoons work well for me. Would February 18th work for you, Amanda?

That sounds great! For me, at all depends on the day and time. Weekends would be easiest for me.

Hi. I live at Mission Bay which is really close to the ferry building. I would be willing to host a meeting. I could comfortably fit 8 people if that is any help.

I'm pretty flexible as long as I can get around on public transportation.

I don't drive either so we're in a similar boat, Louise. I'd be willing to consider a SF location if it is close to the ferry building.

I'd love to go to this as I am a working sewing professional and would love to help out. However, I don't own a car nor drive and live in San Francisco so might not be able to meet for the innaugural meeting if it happens too far away from where I am. I am also scheduled to be out of town from January 28-February 4.

I'm looking for a location right now. Since I'm in the North Bay, I'd prefer to keep this particular meet up in my neighborhood but I'm open to suggestions if you have know of an open space. Once I have a location, we'll set a date.
