Introduction

New to SF and looking forward to snowboarding on the west coast for the first time :)

Do you ski, snowboard or both? If so, for how many years?

Snowboard. I started in winter 2009 so I'm still a beginner.

Do you have a car? If so, would you be willing to drive/carpool?

No car but I do have zipcar so I could split with others--ends up being really expensive for a weekend, though, so might be more economical to rent if necessary.

What are your top three favorite resorts in Tahoe?

I've never been!

Would you be interested in attending meetup ski/snowboarding trips outside of Tahoe? Outside of California? If so, where?

Definitely! I love to travel. Colorado is supposed to be amazing, right?? Maybe up north, too--do people snowboard in Oregon and Washington? I'm pretty clueless.

Are you interested in participating in a group season pass? If so, with which resort?

Perhaps, though I'd like to see how much I actually can go for a season before I commit to it.

We have a bunch of race day weekends coming up. We get discount tickets to the mountain and you will have plenty of people to ride with. I've been learning just by keeping up with these guys. I hope you can make it to one of them.

I'm jonzing to hit the slopes too but the damn temperature has to start dropping first! Soon, I'm sure. As Leslie mentions below, there is a Bretton Woods season kick-off on 12/11/10 that you might be interested in going. Cheap lift tickets!!!

Hi Cuff,

Glad to see you joined the club. I am also pretty new to the sport. I started skiing about 3 years ago and quickly got sucked in. It's a great way to pass the time in the winter. We have a few weekends coming up at the club. Check out Thanksgiving weekend (we'll ski if there's enough snow) and Bretton Woods season kick off. Look foward to meeting you.
