Why do you think it is important for kids to learn about new technologies?

How fun it is and that it doesn't matter who you are, you can still learn it and bring a lot of creativity to programming.

What is your experience either from the teacher/mentor or parent side of getting kids to code?

I am not a parent by choice. But I used to teach college level writing and long ago, I worked as a gang youth counselor for three years in New Mexico.

What methods have you tried?

I've not taught tech to kids yet. But I want to! I've just signed up to volunteer with Black Girls Code.

If you have skills that you would like to teach kids, what are they?
