Why do you think it is important for kids to learn about new technologies?

Its fun, creative and productive, spurs innovative thinking, enables them to compete in the real world etc etc etc

What is your experience either from the teacher/mentor or parent side of getting kids to code?

initial mental blocks for girls, but once they see the application perspective, they are in!
