hey Game Devs of all kinds - thought i would pass this information along about a music/rhythm-oriented 48 hour Game Jam, coming up in November.

What is Whammy Jammy?

It's a 48-hour event where creative and talented people get together to make games around the theme of music and sound. If you are into music/sound and video games and would like to smash them together in interesting ways, this is the event for you. It's an excuse to experiment with new and crazy ideas, challenge yourself, and meet others with similar interests. We call it a "game jam," others may call it a "hack-a-thon." If you're interested, join our Facebook group for the latest updates, of just sign up if you definitely wanna come!

Neato, when and where?

For 2012, it will start on 7pm, November 9th and end at 10pm, November 11th, in the local time zone. The physical locations are:

San Francisco, CA at 16th and Mission. The space is generously provided by:, an online scrapbook for your city to collect and share experiences. We are looking for a sponsor to provide food, but if that doesn't work out, there are plenty of awesome Mexican restaurants nearby.
