Please briefly list your overnight backpacking trips, if any.

Several week long trips and a few shorter ones.

Do you own the major pieces of backpacking gear needed for a trip?

I use a hammock instead of a tent most of the time. I am trying to carry a light backpack and so far have been able to keep it to 25 lbs. I have a hiking poles, bear canister, water filter. GPS, & SPOT. I do not have a stove, but my friend does and we always share it.

If you are female, are you comfortable backpacking (seperate tents) with men?

I am female and would feel comfortable. I do have a female friend that has gone on all of my trips with me and will probably want to go on any that I am attending.

Many group trips start as early as Thursday or Friday morning. Would you be able to join one of those trips from time to time? If not, feel free to organize trips to suit your schedule.

Most of the time it is. I live in Walnut Creek, so would hope to meet somewhere along the way, instead of going to Palo Alto.

I started backpacking in 2010 and have done several week long trips as well as a few shorter trips.
