We (Rackspace Hosting) are hosting a Data Visualization hack day on August 31st, and thought you'd like to come check it out and hack with us.
We're going to be opening up our office the whole day to have people hack and collaborate on things like D3, with a series of tech talks throughout. Food and drinks provided.
Our site is here: http://hacktheplanet.github.com/hackday/2012/08/31/data-visualization-hackday/ EventBrite invitation here: http://datavizhackday.eventbrite.com/

Hi. If we RSVPed on Meetup, is it ok to not register at Eventbrite?
0 · August 30, 2012
Yeah, we understand that registration is limited on Eventbright. Feel free to show up anyway.
there are still spots open on eventbrite, so if you can register please do. otherwise, yeah, show up anyway. in the past, about 50% of registered folks show up, so although we have limited space, we also want to have a good crowd so everyone gets jostled out of their current conceptual bubbles.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
