FUN. Letting go of the "critic" inside my head. Learning about acting without feeling stupid. Meeting other cool people. Getting to express my creative side.
I created The Next Stage as a safe space for anyone who wanted greater freedom of self-expression. We learn to become more fully who we are through the transformative art form of improvisational acting. Everyone is creative. Acting is a life/art.
O.K., I'm biased. But I've been leading improv workshops for over 30 years and playing Theater Games since I was 15. But I'm a player too. I am so grateful that I discovered the theater. I fell in love, not with the egotists who want to be a "star," but with the passionate, authentic theater artists who share what it is to be human. I also love the novice trying it out for the first time - finding a safe place to open to who they can be, with no fear. YES! It is a transformative experience. So many people who have worked & played with me have said how much fun they had. They leapt beyond their fear in the safe space I created and found out who they are as a confident player. - I am doing on-going workshops for total beginners. Anyone who wants to give it a try please contact me. It can be life-changing. Take one workshop to see how much fun you will have. FREE your SPIRIT!!! - My best to you - Marcia
